Decorative pattern glass
Pattern glass is a kind of decorative translucent glass with embossed patterns on one or both surfaces. Manufactured in large quantities in the USA in 1840-80 by the larger glassworks, it was an offshoot of the American invention (1820s) of mechanically pressed glass, which allowed cheaper production.

Pattern glass is generally used where privacy or obscurity is desired but light transmission is still important. With the special property of decoration, patterned glass can allow light to pass through; while at the same time providing some obscurity. Typically, it transmits only slightly less light than clear glass.
Patterned glass is popular in kitchen cabinetry, entry door sidelights, a transom which is a window above a door, bathroom windows and shower doors. It can be used in cabinets, shower doors, decorative partitions, patio furniture, existing windows or other applications you can imagine. Also can be supplied directly, and be cut to your specifications.
