Hard Coated Low-E Glass
Hard Coated Low-E Glass
Laurel hard-coated Low-E glass is engineered using an advanced pyrolysis technique that forms a durable pyrolytic coating during the float glass production process. The coating is applied directly onto the hot glass ribbon, allowing it to fuse seamlessly with the surface. This process creates a highly resilient hard coat layer that offers exceptional durability, long service life, and versatile performance across a wide range of applications.
Low-emissivity (Low-E) coatings are specially developed to reduce the transmission of ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) radiation while maintaining excellent visible light transmittance. The ultra-thin, transparent coating reflects solar heat during hot seasons and helps retain indoor warmth during cold conditions, creating a bright and comfortable environment with improved energy savings.
Hard-coated Low-E glass allows a portion of the sun's short-wave infrared energy to pass through, contributing to passive solar heating during winter months. At the same time, it reflects long-wave indoor heat into the building, reducing heat loss and improving indoor comfort. This makes it an excellent choice for regions with cold winters or significant seasonal temperature variation.

Products Features
1. Superior Thermal Insulation
Low-E coatings reduce radiant heat transfer by lowering the emissivity of the glass surface. This effectively enhances insulation performance, stabilizes indoor temperatures, and reduces reliance on heating and cooling systems.
2. Increased Energy Efficiency
By controlling solar heat gain and improving heat retention, Low-E glass plays a significant role in lowering a building's overall energy consumption-helping users achieve better energy ratings and long-term operational savings.
3. Exceptional Durability
The pyrolytic hard coat is fused directly with the glass surface, making it highly resistant to scratching, oxidation, and environmental degradation. This allows hard-coated Low-E glass to be easily handled, stored, transported, and further processed.
4. Optimal Light Transmission
Despite its strong thermal performance, Low-E glass maintains high levels of natural daylight, creating bright, comfortable indoor spaces without increasing heat load.
