An Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) is a multi-layer glass assembly designed to improve thermal and acoustic performance in buildings.

An IGU typically consists of two or more glass panes separated by a spacer and sealed around the edges to form a single unit. The space between the panes is filled with air or inert gases such as argon or krypton, which significantly reduce heat transfer.
